How old is artie abrams

He went through a lot of ups and downs throughout the series, but ultimately all in all had a very happy ending by the time the series ended. Although he was a very loved character and one of the main characters, he had his fair share of nonsense storylines continue to come through his way.

These are the ones that stick out as making absolutely no sense! Of course in a popular television series like Glee , it can be difficult to keep up with all of the main characters and their ages, but Artie's is quite possibly one of the more confusing ones.

In season one episode titled "Wheels," he confesses to Tina that he was in a car accident when he was 8 years old and that he had been stuck in his wheelchair for eight years, adding that he was only 16 at the time.

Later on in season three episode titled "The Purple Piano Project," he says that he is 17 years old, but the only way that he could be 17 is if he were held back a year and it just wasn't mentioned in the storyline! In season one, after Bryan Ryan portrayed by Neil Patrick Harris asks the Glee club to write down their biggest dreams on a piece of paper Artie writes his down and then quickly throws it away.

Shortly after, Tina finds the piece of paper and reads that his dream is to become a dancer- which, with him being in a wheelchair, could be a quite difficult task. Artie later goes to the mall and imagines a flash mob doing the hit song "Safety Dance" with him leading the crowd with amazing dance moves.

After the episode ends, Artie never mentions becoming a dancer again throughout the rest of the series. Artie and Tina were a fan favorite couple from the beginning, but as the series went on viewers quickly learned that he wasn't the best boyfriend to her and that they weren't quite right for each other. Throughout season one, he consistently avoided her to play video games and spend time with his other friends, along with not being there for her when she needed him.

The beloved couple ended pretty quick at the beginning of season two and Tina found herself in the arms of Glee alumni Mike, which ultimately led to Artie joining the football team to try to get her back.

Since the two of them started out as friends, it doesn't make too much sense as to why the creators thought it would be better to end their relationship and friendship all in one. Many feel that they should have embraced the opportunity to hire a person with real disabilities who truly fits the role. Many people are happy that the episode is intended to raise awareness of the challenges people in wheelchair might face in going about their daily business, but they are still rather unhappy that Kevin McHale is not really in a wheelchair.

I think that more than offsets the cost," Manning said, adding that it's the morally right thing to do. The executive producer of Glee, Brad Falchuk, wants to represent America as a whole with getting the best performers possible.

But Kevin McHale, 21, who plays Artie, excels as an actor and singer and "it's hard to say no to someone that talented," Falchuk said.

Challenge… avoiding bullies and surviving high school. Considered very unpopular by much of the school, Artie joined the Glee Club to have more friends and potentially achieve popularity. Though he dreams of becoming popular, he realizes that this may never happen and tries to be realistic about his social situation.

Personality… sweet, slightly awkward, adorkable, and pragmatic. Artie is an incredibly nerdy and kind soul. Like the rest of the Glee Club members, he can sometimes be a diva and is not afraid to speak his mind when something bothers him.

The William McKinley High School glee club competes on the show choir competition circuit with other glee clubs, but the competition inside their school is even more intense. It's a disparate group consisting of popular cheerleaders, outcasts, and divas.
